Non-judgmental awareness is a cornerstone to mindfulness practice. Daishin has witnessed its benefits while working with those in recovery from substance abuse and trauma. He has served at White Deer Run, a 260 bed residential treatment center in central Pennsylvania for two years, and in the Behavioral Health unit at Wellspan York Hospital for one year. He has also offered mindfulness practices to those incarcerated. He welcomes opportunities to serve the local community through teaching meditation techniques and yoga postures that enhance wellness and healing of the whole person.
